DESCRIPTION: The aim of the project is to recover the traditional sports
and games of the area of the Moraña and Arévalo, in order to not to lose a
very importat part of our culture. The project expects to spread the
traditional sports of our region in other places, and to approach the
youth with the old people. Also, we expect to bring the european youth
politcies to the youth asociations in order to make aware of european
citizenship.
PROMOTING GROUP: 14 young people, between 15 and 26 years old of CYD
asociation (culture an sports) in Pajares de Adaja in Ávila (Spain)
MOTIVATION: The wish of the promoting group is to make a link between old
and young people, using the sports like tool. An other motivation is to
spred that sports and traditional games in Europe and our region.
OBJETIVES: · To promote the sport as tool of social integration. · To
bring the tradition of old people closer to the young people. To spread
our traditional sports and games in other places in Europe. · To promote
healthy leisure. · To integrate the old people with the young activities.
· To favour cultural and intergenerational exchange. · To promote the
young participation in european programs. · To develop the european
consciousness.
PROJECT ARRANGEMENTS: Research and to collect information about
traditional sports and games of the region of Moraña. · Meetings and
interviews with young and old people asociations. · Exhibitions and forums
with young and old people asociations. · Championship of traditional
sports. · Evaluation of the project. · Making a photograph blog and web.
